6-Week Course in Yoga Basics

Begins September 25

Register for Simply Kick ASSana - Yoga Basics Course

 

The class will be 75-minutes.  We will spend the first hour working on Yoga Asana (Yoga Poses).  We will finish the class with a 15 minute relaxation and meditation practice.  This will be a small group class where students can received more focussed and personalized attention.  Participants will learn the 7 points of postural alignment in the body and how to create alignment integrity in all movement and poses.  We will also do a detailed breakdown and teaching of each of the basic yoga poses including standing, balancing, twists, seated floor poses, and lying floor poses.  We will use hands on assists and props to ensure that each student is working at the appropriate level and receiving optimum benefit in the pose.  A printed manual is also provided to each participant.     

 

This class is great for anyone who:

*Is or has participated in the stress management class and is interested in learning more Yoga Asana (Poses).

*Is new to Yoga and would like to learn the foundations of practice to prepare for public classes.

*Is struggling to be comfortable in a public yoga class due to injuries or limitations.

*Is a seasoned Yoga Practitioner who would like to spend some time getting back to basics.
